About Those Images

Those Images by Trey Knowles is a bold message about knowledge, influence, and the danger of following false images. The song speaks against the worship of fame, money, lust, violence, and material possessions, calling listeners to recognize how entertainment and celebrity culture can shape the minds of a community.

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. They eat from the hand of the European devil, who acts as an accomplice, exploiting their talents to shape the world while concealing himself in darkness after reaping the profits.

My people love nonsense. They applaud awards and images that are not of godliness but of foolishness. They became lovers of themselves, and those who watch them, buy their influence, and follow their ways also take part in that destruction.

The message warns against music and images that feed young minds with lust, sex, money, violence, and empty possessions. Men and women who idolize themselves through fame and material power become false images, and those who desire to be like them are pulled into the same trap.

No one corrects them because many people applaud the behavior. These false images influence their community with bad behavior, and the people who encourage them help spread the same destructive spirit.

Young kids are coveting and trying to become like these false images. No one corrects them because their idol is money. “In God We Trust” is printed on the money, but many trust money over the real God. It is sad when people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.

What Do We Do With False Images?

2 Corinthians 10:5 says that we cast down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.

Those Images is a call to cast down false influence, reject ungodly idols, and return the mind to truth, obedience, and the knowledge of God.
